Road & Park Closures

The Saskatoon Fireworks festival Inc. plans to host a Fireworks show on Saturday, February 13, 2021. This will be a “Streamed Event” with no live in-person viewing.

The goal is to provide a joyful experience for people on Valentines Weekend and to kick-off to Family Week.  We have put the following measures in place for your safety and security:

  • Fireworks will be launched from the Traffic Bridge, but there will be no music projected at the site. Music will only be available only on the livestream, broadcast from the beautiful Alt Hotel in downtown Saskatoon. Live entertainment performances games and prizes will also be part of the broadcast.
  • No live in-person viewing available on site. The area between Sid Buckwold Bridge and the Broadway Bridge will be fenced to ensure there is no people gathering. Hired security and police officers will be posted along the fences and on the bridges. Parks, accesses, and intersections will be blocked and supervised.

Due to COVID restrictions, onsite viewing is prohibited

The 2021 Nutrien Fireworks Festival will be a virtual event and will only be accessible through an online streaming platform. There will not be any outdoor sites to watch the fireworks from.

Gathering around the perimeter will not be permitted for any reason. All access points and parks near the fireworks shows will be blocked and monitored.
